Metro Ascent Capital Limited (BJI367) is authorised and licensed by the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong to conduct Type 1 (dealing in securities), Type 4 (advising on securities) Type 6 (advising on corporate finance) and Type 9 (Asset Management) regulated activities.

Cecilia oversees the entire operation of the Metro Ascent advisory platform. Prior to the establishment of Metro Ascent Capital, Cecilia was the Managing Director and in charge of the International Mergers & Acquisitions business for Somerley International Limited for over 10 years.
Cecilia has also worked in senior positions at the investment banking division of Macquarie Bank and HSBC. At Macquarie Bank, she was part of the corporate finance team providing advisory services to clients in the infrastructure sector with a focus in China. At HSBC, she worked for the project finance advisory team, providing financing solutions and advisory services to clients in the infrastructure and utilities sector in Asia.
Earlier in her career, Cecilia worked for Kvaerner where she specialized in infrastructure projects in Asia and Private Finance Initiatives (PFI) projects in the UK.
Cecilia has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Sheffield and a Master’s degree in Finance (with Distinction) from the University of Lancaster. She holds CFA and CPA professional qualifications. Cecilia is a Responsible Officer licensed for Types 1, 4 and 6 regulated activities under the Securities and Futures Ordinance of Hong Kong.

Anthony SL Li
Managing Director
Anthony has extensive experience in investment banking and corporate advisory services, with a specialisation in cross-border M&A and leveraged finance transactions in the Asia-Pacific region.
He has advised on and successfully completed numerous transactions involving multinational corporations, conglomerates, and private equity funds across diverse sectors, including consumer and retail, property development, e-commerce, technology, power and energy, oil and gas, infrastructure, logistics, and industrials. Anthony also has a successful track record advising on public takeover transactions in accordance with the Hong Kong Listing Rules and Takeovers Code.
Prior to founding of Metro Ascent Capital, Anthony served as a Director at Somerley Capital and as an Associate Director in the Corporate Finance & Advisory Department at Standard Chartered Bank, where he advised on cross-border M&A and acquisition financing transactions in Hong Kong and London.
Anthony holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from the University of Sydney and an MBA (with Distinction) from Imperial College London. He was awarded the David Begg Prize for Outstanding Performance in Economics and a scholarship from Imperial College London. He is a Responsible Officer licensed for Type 1, Type 4, and Type 6 regulated activities under the Securities and Futures Ordinance of Hong Kong.
Eugene Wong
Managing Director
Eugene has over 25 years of international experience in investment banking and accounting, with extensive expertise across a wide range of liquid and illiquid asset classes. Career highlights include transaction structuring, deal origination, and execution, with a strong focus on aviation finance, structured products, and cross-border investments.
Previously, he was the Founding Managing Partner at Olympus Partners Asia Limited, where he led the aviation finance business line and held overall responsibility for transaction structuring. Prior to that, he was a Founding Director at SEA Capital Ltd, responsible for Asia coverage (ex-Australia), successfully originating and closing transactions involving structured debt, aviation assets, and UK real estate. He also served as Executive Director in Morgan Stanley’s Delta One Structured Products team within the Global Institutional Equities Division in Hong Kong, and as Associate Director in Macquarie Bank’s Financial Products Division, Investment Banking Group, in both Sydney and Hong Kong.
He is a qualified Australian Chartered Accountant, having trained with PwC in Sydney, and maintains his professional designation. He holds a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Sydney.
